Hello all! I haven’t written a post in some time as the holidays took over my life – and my body as well. I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and a great start to your year! I know I did, but with all my baking of cupcakes, constant eating for what seemed like weeks on end, I have now entered the year with a wider waistline. I’m not going to regret it, as I had a wonderful time with family – and those extra glasses of wine really felt good gosh darn it- but I did prepare myself for the inevitable weight gain by learning a little about coffee and weight loss (I love coffee!). It turns out, there’s been some talk about coffee…but I also learned it’s GREEN coffee and weight loss – not the kind of coffee I thought about! So  for the last 3 weeks I have tried a somewhat more natural weight loss product  – a little help called green coffee bean extract to try to bring my waistline back into control.

As a busy working girl I don’t have a lot of time for exercise and can’t afford to go join a gym while living in this frugal economy. So instead I decided to try something I kept hearing about even on the Dr. Oz show – a supplement called green coffee bean extract. And I’m here to tell you it has actually been doing what it says and the green coffee bean extract has been working since the new year started.

What is Green Coffee Bean Extract?

Green coffee bean extract derives from the coffee bean itself. When coffee green coffeebeans are first cultivated they are really green in color not the dark brown that most of us are very familiar with because the coffee we drink has been already roasted. The green colored outer layer is usually removed through the roasting process. However the green layer is made up of something called chlorogenic acid.

Chlorogenic acid is natural  and not something to be afraid of. The main benefit of chlorogenic acid is that it has been known to help speed weight loss (yippee!). The other benefit is that the green bean extract does not stimulate the nervous system in the same manner that regular coffee does.

The green coffee bean extract that I use (NatureWise )contains a small naturally occurring amount of My coffee bean extractcaffeine in each serving, but the amount is less than ¼ cup of a regular caffeine serving. It contains about 20 mg per serving. While stats vary widely, a regular cup of coffee might contain about 100 mg and up. For me the low caffeine content in my green bean extract is a plus because I enjoy drinking tea and coffee so I don’t want to add the caffeine content to my day and other products. Many-if not most of the diet pills on the market today are extremely unnatural – made up of many chemicals – and very high amounts of caffeine. My bottle of green coffee bean extract has listed in its ingredients simply….green coffee bean extract and the other ingredient is the veggie capsule that encloses it. 100% pure and that’s how I like it!

Benefits of Green Coffee Bean Extract

Contains chlorogenic acid has been studied and is known to help burn both fat and sugar

Slows the sugar into our bloodstreams with no side effects.

Does not stimulate the nervous system like most diet pills and supplements do

100% pure (don’t buy a brand that isn’t)

How To Take Green Coffee Bean Extract

Depending on the dosage you purchase (I purchased the recommended 800 MG serving), one veggie capsule is taken twice a day 30 min. before a meal. I take one first thing in the morning when I wake up with a glass of water. By the time I get to breakfast it’s usually been about a half hour anyway. I take the second one before my lunch, but you could take one half hour before dinner as well.

Weight Loss Results with Green Coffee Bean ExtractII have read on the Internet that when Dr. Oz did his study on green coffee bean extract he found that his participants lost about 2 pounds a week without adding any extra exercise to their day.

My results

I started taking the supplements on New Year’s Eve. I am watching what I eat with no more extra wine and have lost 7 pounds so far which is not too shabby since I’m not following a “set” diet plan…just trying to eat better. One thing I scalenoticed about the green coffee bean extract that I haven’t seen mentioned is that it really seems to have curbed my appetite for carbohydrates. Has this supplement made me not be hungry at all?? No, I still seem to want to eat but it’s not as hard to keep myself from snacking all day. When I have lunch I am definitely fuller faster and I am much more able to resist our snack machine at work where I always went for some sort of chocolate or chips. It seems like that particular craving has definitely been lessened.

I would love to know your results using green coffee bean extract. I purchased mine on Amazon and it’s called
NatureWise Green Coffee Bean Extract 800.

This particular brand was a good price, is an all natural formula and is made in the USA – a biggie for me – and the bottle is even recyclable. There are no fillers in this particular brand. I am very happy with it and will continue to use it as it helps me to take up a little less space in this world we are trying to keep green and healthy!
